Forty Children attend BCM Vacation Bible School this year.

Music, Science, Crafts, and Games helped make this year’s VBS a rousing success. SonSpark Labs was this year’s theme and science, nature and technical themed activities, stories, crafts and music made it a fun time for everyone including the 25 volunteers from all three churches who helped at each of the activity centers.

We set an attendance record this year; 40 children attended
between the ages of 3 and 11. More than 25 volunteers helped make
this year’s program a success.

Grace Church hosted SonSpark Labs Vacation Bible School from July 13th through July 17th. We set an attendance record this year; 40 children attended between the ages of 3 and 11. More than 25 volunteers helped make this year’s program a success.

SonSpark Labs incorporated daily Bible lessons with scientific principles. Daily lessons included: Creation/Gravity, Adam and Eve/Cause and effect, Life of Jesus/ Motion, Jesus’ resurrection/Transformation, and Living as God’s Child/Chain reaction. The children began the evening with dinner followed by an opening service in the chapel. They visited four activity centers: Music, Science, Crafts, and Games. Each evening ended with a closing service in the chapel. A daily offering was taken; the money will be donated to purchase more of the Angel Tree items for the Ronald McDonald House. A total offering of $331.38 was received.

Thank you to everyone who made this week possible; including those of you who: donated supplies and money, helped with the prep work, inventoried the supplies, provided our daily meal, lead the groups and activities, and lead worship.

Both the children and the volunteers enjoyed a wonderful week. The Holy Spirit was definitely with us as we spent the week learning about God and building a community!
