Second Team Member of BCM Ministry

The Rev. Christopher C. Moore, who has been supplying in the three BCM parishes since March, was recently named as a permanent team member of the BCM ministry. He serves as assistant to the Covenant Rector, The Rev. Ketlen Solak, and will, with her, share the preaching rotation at the three member churches.

“It’s a real blessing to share this ministry,” says Chris. “Grace, Ascension and Calvary have made my wife Janice and me feel so welcome since we arrived. I look forward to participating on a more permanent basis in this ministry.”

Chris’ most recent ministry was also a collaborative ministry involving more than one church. From 2006 to 2013 he served as assistant to the rector at the Parish of All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel in Rehoboth, Delaware, where he alternated with the rector in preaching and celebrating at the two churches.

Emmy-Statuette

Ordained in 1974, Chris served churches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and California. With degrees from Muhlenberg College, Drew University and Andover Newton Theological School, Chris also studied theology at Cambridge University in England. Accomplishments include running a Marathon in under four hours, winning an Emmy Award (along with his wife Janice) for Excellence in Religious Broadcasting, and writing and publishing three books on religion and psychology. His latest is Solitude: A Neglected Path to God (Cowley Press, 2001).

Chris and Janice live in Media, PA, with their two dogs and a cat, where he enjoys working on his one-acre property, hiking on the Appalachian Trail at the Delaware Water Gap, and spending time with his four grandchildren, aged three and under.
